Why opt for a sedate black limousine when you can really arrive in style in this stretch Hummer or take a ride in a customized Escalade?

Today's rides for brides mirror the trend in hot cars and sport utility vehicles, offering a range of fun to fancy carriages to get you to the reception on time and in style! Whether it's a vintage convertible or Rolls Royce, a long black car or a red sedan, when you opt for your heart's desire, make sure you use your head when finalizing all the details!

If you don't know where to get started, try the National Limousine Association at 800- 652-7007 for a referral in your area. Ask around to friends and family who had a good experience with a limousine company.

Check the yellow pages or look for advertisements right here in The Bridal Book. The limousines featured on this page were provided by Silver Star Limousine.

Then shop around until you find that real deal set of wheels. Many companies offer a wide range of vehicles, from the over-the-top party bus to your basic limousine. Ask what each company has available, including any extras such as a bottle of champagne, a CD or DVD player and that all-important red carpet! (Most companies provide a runner in your choice of color).

Shop around and compare prices. According to The Knot, one of the premier on-line wedding services, prices average about $50 per hour, plus a mandatory 15% tip. You need to make a reservation at least six months in advance and be sure to sign a contract that clearly states when and where, along with the cost, deposit required and the company's cancellation policy.

Hurry, the party's
about to begin!
